DILAC
DILAC series are a water-based silicon and silicon-free with nanoparticles or not, lacquers produce a clear or black protective topcoat on passivated zinc and alloys. These kind of lacquers/sealants can build up to 5 microns. DILAC series are the chemical processes mostly using by dipping in a solution tank for barrel and rack applications. DILAC lacquers meet the demands for a uniform coating with increased salt spray stability. The lacquers provide friction control within defined narrow torque/tension values, enabling the use of high strength fasteners with reduced weight, faster mount with automatic devices, and stable mounting of critical components. Lacquers reduce manufacturing cost and contribute to longer product life. DILAC lacquers ensure an added level of corrosion protection essential for both threaded fasteners and non-threaded parts. The versatile processes are compatible with today's advanced hex-chrome-free systems, including innovative cobalt-free and fluoride-free passivations. DILAC lacquers are ideally suited for high volume barrel and rack operations when increased corrosion resistance is required. Zinc layers can reach resistance of exceeding 1000 h NSS without white corrosion. Zinc nickel layers may even reach far higher values, depending from metal thickness and process combination.
