Hot Dip Zinc Passivating
The quality of pretreatment of the surface prior to powder coating is the most important factor affecting the durability and adhesion of the powder paint. This factor is chrome-free, chromate passivations and no-rinse polymer passivations. Actually pre-treated aluminum surfaces are highly corrosion protected, even if the surface is exposed to external influences (damage, high temperature, humidity, etc.) as well as significantly increase adhesion. Chromium is commonly used against powder paints. The coating weight on the surface varies from 0.2 to 2.0 g / m2 when the coating solution is applied to the surface by dipping or spraying. The coating weight is variable depending on the concentration, application time, temperature and pH of the passivation solution. Due to the correct operating parameters the quality of the coating will decrease. Thick coating does not mean high quality coating.
