Our policy is to act in a way that ensures health, safety and a clean environment for our employees. For business units around the world, the minimum acceptable standard is to meet their legal health, safety and
environmental requirements, considering these issues equally important with other management responsibilities, and success in these areas depends on the commitment of everyone in the organization.
Due to our general commitment to health, safety and healthy environment, each business unit is required to:
- provide and maintain healthy and safe working conditions, equipment and work systems for all employees
- ensure the health and safety of others who can affect its operation, eg contractors, visitors, clients and the general public
- prevent or if practically impossible, minimize and ensure safe release of substances that could adversely affect human health or the environment to air, water and soil
- reduce the amount of waste at source through careful use of materials, energy and other resources, and maximize recycling
- consider early development, the likely environmental impact of new products and processes
- maximize align employee involvement in health, safety and environmental issues through effective communication and encourage them to participate actively
- recognize and respond constructively to public concerns about health, safety and environmental aspects of its activities
- provide sufficient resources for people, training, equipment and equipment to meet its health, safety and environmental obligations
- set goals for improving health and safety at work and environmental protection, conduct regular internal assessments and report on effectiveness on an annual basis
- ensure that each location adopts policies in line with these principles and commitments that describe the local organization and the rules for their implementation. We consider health, safety and environmental issues as mainstream management responsibilities. The management and managers of the line at all levels are directly responsible for the normal management structure in the areas of health, safety and environmental protection in activities under their control.
